Circle of Love

The Circle of Love Center, Inc. (COLC) was founded in 1997 as the Greene County Family Violence Task Force. Established to provide supportive services and prevent domestic violence, this task force was established after a local family experienced a tragic murder/suicide at the hands of an abusive husband. In 2002, the Greene County Family Violence Task Force became Circle of Love Center, Inc. Today, Circle of Love Center Inc. is an emergency safe shelter and resource center for domestic violence victims and their children. Based in Greene County, we provide residential and non-residential services to five (5) counties: Greene, Morgan, Hancock, Putnam, and Baldwin Counties. COLC addresses the unique needs of victims of domestic, family and dating violence. Our commitment is focused on raising awareness and understanding of this problem within our communities and improve outcomes for Georgia families. Services that are offered to victims include, but are not limited to, safe shelter, 24-hour hotline access, group and individual counseling, child counseling, case management, legal advocacies, court accompaniment, transports, employment and housing search assistance, referrals to community agencies and financial assistance.

Circle of Love Center, Inc. stands firmly for the right each citizen has by birth: to live in a home environment that is free from the physical or emotional danger of violence. The goal of the agency’s services is to empower survivors of domestic violence by providing the life-changing services they need to heal and move forward.
